Among Fengqing masters, the principle of “five gates” (初制把五关) is formulated: raw material is the foundation, withering is the prerequisite, rolling is the key, oxidation is the core, drying is the guarantee.

6. Izici Zomzwelo (Organoleptic):

- Inqubo:
- Fudumeza isitsha ngamanzi ashisayo bese ushikisha.

10. Ukugcinwa:
Kufanele igcinwe esitsheni esivalekile esingabonakaliyo (ikani le-tin, isikhwama se-foil) ezingeni lokushisa elingu-10–25°C, kude nokukhanya, umswakama namaphunga angaphandle.
